SUPPORT GROUP
Meet-Up-Group_FINAL.jpg

Caring Connections is our resource and family support outreach program, where our goals are to provide support to the family members of those incarcerated. This program is for the adult family members to learn techniques in a supportive and non-judgmental environment to properly manage their feelings, thoughts and actions due to the loss of their incarcerated loved ones.

We offer a facilitated discussion for individuals and families, to share concerns, develop and/or improve coping skills, and to manage stressors created by incarceration. Here are few things we discuss with our support  group members:

  • How to survive the loss of their incarcerated loved one

  • How to develop coping strategies and techniques

  • Recognize physical responses and relaxation techniques

  • How to deal with shame and other emotions

  • Techniques on how to prevent being an enabler once your loved ones return home
