Meet Failsafe-ERA Jail Ministry Team Member, Mrs. Tess Clouse

Mrs. Tess Clouse supports Failsafe-ERA as a volunteer with the ministry and Caring Connections Family Support Group. A true servants heart for those afflicted because of addictions, sexual abuse and trauma, Tess offers spiritual wisdom, knowledge, empathy and much more as she ministers to the incarcerated and those returning home from incarceration.

During my first meeting with Tess I knew she was a servant in the ministry of hope. Her every word was focused on encouragement and recovery (resilience). She has the heart to influence others to want a better life. Despite the hardships, life is worth living and can be revived and lived with freedom from your past! This is Tess message..you see, Tess went through Domestic Violence in 2010 and spent 4 months in a "Safe" house in Culpepper. Her willingness and openness to share her story and her VICTORY has impacted many to break from the bonds of abuse also. As Tess declares in her messages, “I am No longer a victim but now victorious in Christ.

A gifted teacher, Tess brings to the Ministry great revelation of the word, where she demonstrates as an example how to apply spiritual tools that will bring restoration along with opportunities for a second chance with family and community. Having served in various ministries, Tess has attended and led Celebrate Recovery (CR) groups and served as a women's group leader for over 7 years to include supporting and setting up a new CR in Spotsylvania at Salem Fields Community Church. Tess served on the Praise Team, Mime Ministry, Children's Bible Study, Singles Ministry Leader, and aspiring Minister. Her education, training and empathy is much valued in Failsafe-ERA jail and family support groups.

Tess is also a member of the Christian Sisters Transition Program (CSTP), where she assists Chaplain Jill with the Ready, Set, Release Program at RRJ, and CSTP with returning citizens with housing, taking them to rehabilitation centers when relapse has occurred. Blessed with the ability to see below the surface to the inner core, to see the hardships someone is facing every day. She is constantly led to people who are silently battling emotional and mental pain.

Unstoppable, Tess will start another journey taking classes at the Rappahannock Area Sexual Assault crisis center and lending support to the Empower House domestic violence program. An added resource she can also bring to the Failsafe-ERA Ministry Team.

Tess will retire from the Federal Government in May 2021 with over 30 years of service where with the USMC with Weapon Systems Acquisitions with Research and Development as well as fielding those systems. She served as an enlisted active duty soldier with the US Army for 4 years gaining much of her leadership and educational training skills.

Our heartfelt gratitude for this true treasure and blessing to our Ministry Team and others. This beautiful servant is on a mission to impart to the broken hearted, there is hope in the midst of sufferings, lives can be restored. Thank you Tess ~Salute
