ANNUAL FAILSAFE-ERA HOLIDAY SHOPPE

The holiday season can be especially challenging for families affected by incarceration. Many caregivers bear not only emotional weight but also the financial strain of providing for their children during a time meant for joy, warmth, and giving.

 

FailSafe-ERA hosts an annual Christmas Holiday Shoppe to support families affected by incarceration in Planning District 16 (PD16): Fredericksburg City, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, and Caroline Counties. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking cycles of incarceration and strengthening families through evidence-based reentry and prevention programs. Since 2009, we have worked to promote reformative strategies that restore hope, empower individuals, and create safer communities. Through advocacy, education, and community initiatives, we seek to prevent generational incarceration and help individuals lead purposeful, resilient lives.

 

Our Christmas Holiday Shoppe offers families the opportunity to "shop" for Christmas gifts at no cost. We offer toys and gifts for younger children, gift cards for teens, and school supplies for everyone.  Each family also receives a bag of groceries equivalent to a Christmas dinner and a voucher for a full-size turkey. 

 

This year, on December 16, our goal is to serve 100 families and approximately 225 children by providing:

• Toys and gifts for all age groups

• Gift cards for teenagers

• Warm clothing and winter essentials

• Festive food boxes for a special holiday meal

• Replenished school supplies to start the new year strong 

Families: Register by November 24th

Contributors:  Donations are needed by December 5.  Financial contributions can be made here.  Toys and other donations can be dropped off  Monday through Thursday from noon until 4:00 pm. at our office at 1972 William Street in Fredericksburg, or call us at 540-479-3021.
