I have been involved with FailSafe-ERA since the summer of 2016 through our
Caring Connections Support Group. My family was affected by incarceration and there was no pamphlet available to us on how to handle the day-to-day questions a family needs answers to.
When I joined FailSafe-ERA's Caring Connections Support Group, I was an incarcerated person's sister who was desperate to be heard and needed support which I received.
Every month in our Group, I shared what was going on in our family and the support and guidance I received was so valuable. Our group became a family and I knew I no longer walked this journey alone.
Today, I volunteer with the Re-entry Team to help the next family member answer questions and make sure they have a partner in the reentry process.
