Thank you Gaby Coronado, Estate Planning Attorney, for sharing information with the FailSafe Caring Connections Support Group. Many family members wonder what happens if they pass away before their loved one is released from prison. Who will continue to put money on their account so that they can purchase commissary items (personal hygiene products, etc)? Gaby shared information about the importance of estate planning and establishing a trust and assigning someone to manage the trust to ensure incarcerated loved ones are still being cared for once they pass away.
