The monthly Sounding the Alarm Youth Empowerment Initiative workshops are a community-based, prevention-focused program designed to disrupt cycles of incarceration by developing life skills, legal literacy, leadership, communication skills, and mental health resilience for youth ages 10–18.
Value Proposition:
Prevent first-time or repeated justice involvement
Build life skills for adulthood and self-sufficiency
Strengthen youth connection to mentors and positive community leaders
In February our topic was Communication & Public Speaking. Thank you to Program Manager Gary Holland, Isaiah Landry and Dr. James Carr for a wonderful day of learning.
Here are some photos and videos of the day.
