The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) reports that 95% of state prisoners will be released to embark on their personal journey as returning citizens. To bring it closer to home more than 10,000 are released annually, from the State of Virginia, back into our local communities. These individuals are not just statistics. They are our neighbors, our family members, and our friends.
At FailSafe-ERA we are dedicated to restoring and enhancing our communities by ensuring that these individuals have the necessary resources for a successful reintegration. Our transformative services include our right road reentry, caring connections, and PGI (Preventing Generations of Incarceration) programs where both justice-impacted individuals, AND their families are given the tools they need to build a better future.
People like 26-year-old Edward McCall who came to FailSafe-ERA in need of reentry support completed our Right Road Reentry and Courage to Change program.
He was later inducted into our hall of change and is now considered an agent of change and pursuing his marketing career. Edward recently moved into an apartment, and we were able to provide him with some household products and a gift card. He is on his way to independent living.
We take great pride in our mission and supporting our community members in need of specialized assistance, but it takes a village.
