FailSafe-ERA team had the opportunity to meet with leadership from the Virginia Department of Corrections and Probation & Parole for an important conversation about reentry partnership, and the growing needs of our community on July 9th.

We were proud to share the work of our team, the successes of the individuals and families we serve, and the impact of our programs. Even more importantly, we listened and learned about opportunities to strengthen collaboration and better support individuals returning home from incarceration.
One thing that stood out during our conversation was learning that the Fredericksburg area has the highest number, in the State, of individuals returning to the community, and that number is expected to continue to grow.
That reality should get all of our attention. We have work to do.
When people return home with the right support and opportunities, we strengthen families, reduce recidivism, and improve public safety.
FailSafe-ERA is committed to being at the table, doing the work, building partnerships, and helping create a seamless pathway from incarceration to successful community reintegration. The numbers are increasing. The need is growing. And the time to strengthen our community reentry infrastructure is now.
Together, we can build a community that believes in accountability, restoration, second chances, and safer communities.
We need all hands on deck and we need financial support.
